The Swedish drama, Young Royals, is coming back for a second season! The show follows the lives of young royals at an elite boarding school, Hillerska, in Sweden. Season 1 aired on Netflix this July. The hit series Young Royals was created by Lisa Ambjörn, Lars Beckung, and Camilla Holter. The six-episode first season premiered on July 1, 2021, among critical acclaim from critics.
Nevertheless, Netflix has announced that a second season is in production. In addition, Netflix set the release date to be sometime in 2022!

The first season was all about Wilhelm’s romance with his best friend. It had a lot of drama along with romance, intrigue, and suspense! Prince Wilhelm was seen struggling between royal duties and young love.
The second season is expected to take up from where the first one. As the first one left a major cliffhanger, viewers will be excited to see how it continues. For instance, a new character is expected to come into the picture and add more drama!
In the first season, we saw August leaking a sex tape starring Wilhelm and Simon. Wilhelm had to choose either his family’s reputation or his love. Wilhelm offered Simon a secret relationship in the end.
The next season will likely follow more conflicts between Simon and Wilhelm. There will be more challenges for Wilhelm. And we will see how will the Prince survive in the situations.

It is hard to say what will be in season two. But it won’t be long until we find out more details about the storyline of the second season when it comes out sometime in 2022.

Netflix released a charming video of the cast from the first season. They were all excited for the second season coming up. We saw Edvin Ryding in the role of Prince Wilhelm in the first season. And there is no doubt he will reprise his role.
