Y: The Last Man: Renewed for Second Season
Y: The Last Man Season 2 is a continuation of Y: The Last Man, the award-winning comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. Y’s epic journey begins to come full circle as he finds himself in a world where he has no memories, but still manages to find love and be part of something bigger than himself.
Y: The Last Man Season is an American science fiction television series created by Brian K. Vaughan and produced by Nina Jacobson’s company, Tall Girls Productions in association with Yari Film Group and FX Productions for the cable network, FXX. It follows a group of men who find themselves alone after a mysterious plague kills every Y chromosome-carrying human male on Earth save for Yorick Brown (the last man) and his monkey Ampersand.
Who are the characters in Y: The Last Man Season Two?
– Y: The Last Man Season Two doesn’t have as many characters, but it still has a decent amount. The main character is Yorick Brown (or simply Y) who may be the last man on Earth after a mysterious plague kills every Y chromosome carrying human male on earth save for him and his pet monkey Ampersand . He lives in New York City with Agent 355 and Dr Allison Mann, one of the two female protagonists that survived to season three.
Y is on a mission to find Dr Mann’s sister Beth, Y’s girlfriend who works at the World Health Organization. Another female protagonist, Agent 355 (who may be named after her number of chromosomes) is Y’s bodyguard and partner in crime-fighting. She has an unnamed brother that died due to said plague and was working with Y when he went missing for two years. One other important character from season one returns but we can’t talk about him without spoiling it!
What can we expect from Y: The Last Man Season Two?
The first season ended with a major cliffhanger and it looks like the second season is going to be just as exciting. Y has finally found his girlfriend Beth but she’s been infected with the plague that killed all the other men. Now he has to find a cure for her before she dies. Meanwhile, Agent 355 is trying to protect him from the government who wants to capture him. There are also some new characters joining the cast including Nasreen, a scientist working on a possible cure for the plague, and Yorick Brown Jr., Beth’s son who was born after the plague hit.
Y’s father also appears in a few episodes. Y: The Last Man Season Two is an amazing adaptation of the comic book series and I can’t wait to see how it ends! Although Y: The Last Man Season Two was good, I felt like some parts were missing from certain episodes that should have been there. For example, Y finds out about his baby brother and has this whole scene with Agent 355 where she tells him to go after Beth instead because she thinks he’d be safer if he didn’t know about Yorick Jr.

Y: The Last Man Season Two was amazing! It followed the comics perfectly and introduced some new characters that I loved. My only complaint is that it didn’t last long enough! Thankfully, they announced that there will be a Y: The Last Man movie coming out in 2020 so we won’t have to wait too long for more Y goodness. Until then, I’ll just have to rewatch Season Two over and over again!
