Xerox Plans To Lay Off 115 Employees In New York

Xerox Corporation filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification on September 20 in the Finger Lakes Region. The notice indicates that the Connecticut-based company will close a unit in its Webster, New York Facility. The lay off will impact 115 total employees.

Xerox is an international company that produces photocopying and photographic products to consumers and companies. The largest portion of the company’s employees is based in New York, where it was founded on April 18, 1906.

According to the WARN notice, Xerox will lay off 115 employees on September 18. The company cited “economic” as the reason for the layoff. Workers United Rochester Regional Joint Board, Local 14A union represents some of the employees.
