What is the Plot of West Side Story?

Tony’s best friend, the Riff, starts a rumble with the Sharks that leads to tragedy. Traumatized, Anita spitefully claims Chino killed Maria and resolves to return to Puerto Rico. Valentina informs Tony of Anita’s claims, and he runs into the streets begging for Chino to kill him.
