Walkersville Man Arrested In Connection With Frederick County Stabbing


Maryland State Police announce the arrest of a man in the stabbing of a 37-year-old woman in Frederick County.

Approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday, troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Fulton Avenue to investigate a reported domestic incident. At the scene, troopers located a 37-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to the arm and head.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect, 36-year-old Jeremiah William Snyder of Walkersville, stabbed his estranged wife during a domestic dispute. The knife utilized in the stabbing was recovered. Snyder had fled the scene prior to troopers arriving on scene.

The victim was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Troopers apprehended Snyder Thursday morning in the unit block of Maple Avenue in Walkersville. He has been charged with first-degree assault and second-degree attempted murder. He is being held at the Frederick County Detention Center on a no-bond status.
