Uncoupled: Netflix comedy series

Netflix has announced the newest in their original programming, Uncoupled, a dramatic thriller series to be released in 2022. The story follows two couples: one who are madly in love. And the other who are having difficulties and find themselves with different partners. The show explores the various dynamics between relationships in a clearly advanced future. One couple, Ben and Kate, are happily married and the other couple, Gary and Daria. Are divorced and struggling to find love again. The show is said to contain futuristic stylistic elements such as facial recognition software for dating, holographic simulation for sex. Biometric personal assistants that give advice on compatibility and much more.

Uncoupled will be released on Netflix on 29 July.
Netflix is available on a global scale and is taking over the world. Due to the streaming service’s ever-growing popularity and they have become an outlet for many original programs. And the release of Uncoupled has created a lot of buzz. Netflix has already released many popular shows such as Stranger Things, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black. Sense8 and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to name a few which have all been well received by critics and audiences alike.

Who are the characters of Uncoupled?

From the promotional material released, we have been able to identify who some of the major characters are. Starring Neil Patrick, Tisha Campbell -Martin and the infamous Laverne Cox, the show is sure to be a hit.
This is not the first time Neil Patrick Harris has starred in a television program. Harris portrayed Barney Stinson in Friends with Benefits. Which he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. And starred alongside his ex- real-life partner, David Burtka, in How I Met Your Mother.

What can we expect from Uncoupled?

The show is not a traditional science fiction series as it contains elements of drama and romance and as such, is likely to be less dramatic than other shows.
