On Saturday, three U.S. solders were killed in the Peka Valley of the Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan, the Army announced.

Sergeant Eric M. Houck, 25, of Baltimore, Corporal Dillon C. Baldridge, 22, of Youngsville, North Carolina and Sergeant William M. Bays, 29, of Barstow, California, based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky were supporting Operation Freedom.
Samantha Houck described her husband as her “hero” and “soulmate,” in a Facebook post.
“I promise I will do all I can for our babies and I will make you proud,” she wrote.
