Two Prince George’s County Men Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison For Theft Of 35 Guns


Two men were sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison for conspiring to steal 35 guns from several federally licensed firearms dealers in Virginia.

Twenty-four-year-old Preston G. Holmes III and 23-year-old Matthew D. Jones burglarized the 50 West Armory at 13930 Metrotech Drive in Chantilly on March 11. During the burglary Holmes and Jones stole 35 semi-automatic firearms.

They also attempted to steal firearms from SSG Tactical at 610 Westwood Office Park in Fredericksburg and A.S.H. Tactical at 4733 Jefferson Davis Highway on March 14, according to court records.
