Baltimore City police said two adult males were shot in separate shooting incidents in Baltimore overnight.
Around 1:40 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Round and Bethune Roads in Cherry Hill, police said. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Investigators said the 24-year-old victim refused to cooperate, but did provide them with his name.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Less than an hour later, police went to the 400 block of Payson Street in response to a report of a shooting. Around 2:17 a.m., officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to both of his arms. The 41-year-old was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
A man fatally shot in the 700 block of Linnard Street has been identified as Antoine Fritz. The 23-year-old arrived at a local hospital around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. He later succumbed to his injuries – multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Fritz death pushed the city’s homicide rate to 184 this year.
