Triumph Thermal Systems Will Plans To Layoff 96 Employees In Maryland
Triumph Thermal Systems filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation on August 28. The notice indicates that the Frederick, Maryland-based company will lay off 96 employees beginning in December.
Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE: TGI) acquired Triumph Thermal Systems, formerly known as Fairchild Controls Corporation, in October 2015. The company offers auxiliary power generation technology and electrically driven vapor systems that deliver hydraulic power for military platforms and commercial aircraft.
According to the WARN notice, employees impacted by the layoff work in the plant at 540 Highland Street. Layoffs will begin in December 2017 and run through August 2018.
