Towson, Maryland Pharmacist Gets 40 Months For Distributing Oxycodone In Exchange For Sexual Favors


This week, United States District Judge Ellen L. Hollander sentenced 64-year-old Richard Daniel Hiller of Owings Mills, Maryland to 40 months in federal prison. The former licensed pharmacist will be required to serve three years of supervised release as well. Hiller was sentenced on a charge of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and a charge of distributing oxycodone. The defendant has also been ordered to pay a fine of $15,000.

The plea agreement explains that Hiller was a licensed pharmacist working at a pharmacy in Towson. He admitted to filing fraudulent prescriptions for oxycodone for several women. In return, he received sexual favors. On various occasions from January 2014 to February 2017, Hiller instructed two of the women to come to the pharmacy where he worked before it opened. Hiller made the women engage in intercourse or perform other sexual acts in the rear area of the pharmacy before filling their fake prescriptions.

Again, Richard Daniel Hiller has been sentenced to 40 months in prison. Further details have been made available here.
