Three Men Were Sentenced For Smuggling 17-Year-Old Girl Into The United States


Three men were sentenced in human smuggling extortion case the Eastern District of Virginia.

Twenty-seven-year-old Daniel Lopez-Martinez of Mexico, 25-year-old Juan Thomas Nicolas of Guatemala and 29-year-old Ernesto Solis, Jr. of Mission, Texas conspired to smuggle a 17-year-old female from El Salvador to the U.S. for money.

PrisonAll three defendants transported the girl to Houston and then contacted her father in Loudoun County. They demanded the girl’s father to pay an additional $4,700 for the safe return of the girl. The Task Force officers and FBI agents rescued the girl safely.

Lopez-Martinez was sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison, Nicolas was sentenced to 2 years and Solis was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months.
