This Is Us season 6, which is the final season for the NBC drama. The Pearsons are saying goodbye and we expect many, many tears. This Is Us is one of the biggest shows ending soon (on top of many canceled TV shows), and after all the roller coaster ride of feelings, we’ve experienced so far.
Season 6 Will Be This Is Us’ Last Season:
After five years of continuous crying, it is with a heavy heart that we say that This Is Us will be ending with Season 6, as originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The last season of the NBC tear-jerker will be airing during the 2021-2022 broadcast season.

However, for Season 6, it’s reported that the last season will premiere largely uninterrupted in 2022. While we could also blame the pandemic for production pushbacks for Season 5, this was something that happened before that, as well.

What should you expect in ‘This Is Us’ Season 6?
As far as the exact details, Fogelman told Deadline that the Miguel and Rebecca storyline is a “big focus” in season 6, as it’ll reveal “how they came together, then how they separated, then how they found their way back to each other.”
He also told Entertainment Weekly that another “big journey” involves Phillip, who, as you know, eventually finds love with Kate. “It felt really good to us for it to be somebody who’s been involved in her career and the cause that she’s really believing in. So that’s a journey I’m excited to write next season,” he explained.
How will This Is Us End?
The biggest question surrounding the This Is Us ending concerns Rebecca, played by Mandy Moore. In Season 5, the Pearson family matriarch’s health has continued to deteriorate after she was confirmed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. We’ve also seen several of those flash-forward scenes, in which the family gathers around what appears to be her deathbed. The series finale is going to have us weeping buckets, we can already tell.
There are only two episodes left this season in the US, but luckily for us we still have a few more weeks until this story is over. This Is Us will return to NBC on Tuesday, April 30,
