They’ll have an undisclosed role that he revealed would be a childhood friend from his youth when he was living on Elysian IV before moving back to Earth. The film will be a thriller.
He has been quoted as saying, “I wanted to do another Elysian story, and I love science fiction.” The team of guardsmen is led by Ford’s character, who finds that they’re going up against terrorists from the planet where he spent his youth before coming back to Earth decades ago.
The movie also stars Liev Schreiber in an undisclosed role with Naomi Watts playing the Elysian Prime Minister Amaris – one of their newest members since joining forces with us. He continued, “It was kind of like ‘Inception’ without Leonardo DiCaprio,” which made it all more enticing for him.
This week on Harrison Ford Live! You can get your weekly dose of Ford with The Old Guard, The Fate of the Furious, and Blade Runner 2049.
“I wanted to do another Elysian story,” said Orci, who has written for The Amazing Spider-Man and Star Trek series among others. “And I love science fiction.”
Schreiber plays an undisclosed role while Naomi Watts takes on Amaris – one of their newest members since joining forces with us in this sequel to 2017’s The Belko Experiment.
Who’s coming back for The Old Guard 2?
There was only one major casualty in the first movie as Harry Melling’s Merrick painfully worked out what happened when you mess with Andy’s team.
It’s likely that all of the main cast will be back in the sequel, so that’s Charlize Theron as Andy, KiKi Layne as the Nile, Matthias Schoenaerts as Booker, Marwan Kenzari as Joe and Luca Marinelli as Nicky.
Copley has now seen the error of his ways and, at the end of the first movie, is tasked with ensuring the team remain hidden from anyone who would do them harm (like Merrick).
