The Chucky Television Series: Coming Soon For The Fans!

It’s time for a new Chucky story! The iconic horror film franchise that has captivated audiences for decades is now coming to television screens in the form of an all-new series. The Chucky television series will take place after the events of Cult of Chucky. Don Mancini, creator, and writer of Child’s Play, has teamed up with Syfy and USA Network to create this upcoming American horror television series adaptation. Chucky is coming soon, on October 12th, 2021!

The Chucky film franchise has been around since 1988, and there have been seven films released so far. This will make it the eighth film in franchise history, and we can’t wait to see how it unfolds on screen!

During the TCA Press Tour in winter 2020, the show was announced for a fall 2021 premiere.

Is the Television Series Linked to the Film?

Unfortunately, the movie released in 2019 as a reboot was tremendously controversial. The film could not be linked to the original movies and was not well received by most horror fans. This may be because it had nothing in common with the previous installments of the franchise, which makes us wonder if this television series will tie into or follow these events at all.

The television series is a part of the Child’s Play franchise which had a long-running series of films and comics.

The first film was released in 1988, followed by six sequels which were all well received by the original fans as well as new ones. The franchise has sold over 100 million units worldwide, making it one of Hollywood’s most commercially successful horror franchises.

As for the television series, we still keep our expectations high as it will be produced by original creator Don Mancini, but with the release date of October 12, 2021 we are still more than a month away from seeing if these new episodes can rise to the level of greatness that was set before.

What Will Chucky Have on Screens for Us?

The plot line for this new series is still a mystery. However, we do know that Chucky, a vintage doll, will hunt the suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town. The consequences lead to mysterious killings. The secrets and hypocrisies of the town will be revealed.

Chucky will be threatened by its past. The secrets of the doll will be revealed that how Chucky was an ordinary child’s plaything with a life of its own and turned into a monster around time.

There’s a lot to look forward to with Chucky. The Child’s Play films have been a horror classic for many years and this series will be an amazing continuation of that story line, which has not yet concluded.

The showrunners promise that the new episodes will have the same level of violence that we have come to expect from Chucky films.

The Cast and Characters of the Chucky

The show stars Zackary Arthur, Don Mancini, who is the producer and author of the original film. Along with Arthur, Mark Hamill will return to the franchise as well.

Jennifer Tilley, who has played Tiffany Valentine, Charles Lee Ray’s lover and sometimes evil doll, will be seen in the upcoming Chucky. Other members returning to the franchise for the TV series are Alex Vincent, who played Andy Barclay in the first two films, and Christine Elise, who played Kyle in Child’s Play 2.

We will also have new faces joining the cast in this season of Chucky. This includes Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Björgvin Arnarson.

We don’t have much details for the characters for the cast yet. However, we know that Arthur will be playing a teen character who is a loner. Briones and Arthur will be seen as cousins Junior Webber and Jake Webber. Alyvia will be the bully to Jake and also Junior’s girlfriend. Arnarson will be an investigator to all the mysteries around the town.

When Will the Series Premier?

The television series is all set to premiere on Syfy network in the United States and Canada, USA Network in the UK and Ireland, Universal Channel in Australia.

The series will premiere on October 12 this year! We are all very much excited for this new American horror television series debuting soon.
