The show follows Michael Peterson’s trial for the murder of his wife Kathleen after she was found dead at the bottom of their staircase.
The trial lasted 12 weeks long and in 2003, he was convicted of first-degree murder. During this time, many people were interviewed about what they thought happened on that fateful day. This blog post will explore what you can expect from this new series as well as who is starring in it!

He was a detective in the homicide department who had been assigned to investigate Kathleen’s death.
The Seventh Member:
The seventh member of The Staircase cast is Detective Sergeant Rick Wallace which was portrayed as being unenthusiastic about his investigation into her death because he didn’t think it would be an open-and-shut case like everyone else did. He also said that everybody thought she died from “natural causes or something stupid.”
