The Book of Boba Fett Season 1 Release Date, Plot and Star Cast
There has not been any Star Wars content for a long time. Now, the first trailer for The Book of Boba Fett is here.
In the post-credit scene from The Mandalorian season two, the bounty hunter looked cool. He was beating up his enemies too. It reminded me of gangster movies I’ve seen before.
In this scene, Boba Fett is the new head of Jabba’s empire and he is negotiating with some crime lords on Tatooine. This scene shows a lot of similarities to a scene from The Godfather. There were many references to the Star Wars movie. We had a look at Ming-Na Wen as an assassin called Fennec Shand. There were some images of Tatooine, which is the place where the bad people live.
Fans have been waiting for a Boba Fett series since he first appeared in the 1980s The Empire Strikes Back. Now, the new show called “The Mandalorian” is coming out soon!
What is the release date of The Book of Boba Fett Season 1?
On Wednesday 29th December, the Book of Boba Fett will come to Disney Plus. This is also the same day that Hawkeye was supposed to come out. But now it has been postponed until March 2020.
Filming on The Book of Boba Fett began in November 2020 on the same Los Angeles stage that was used for filming The Mandalorian. Filming finished in June 2021 when actress Ming-Na Wen posted her wrap gift on Twitter.
What is the plot of The Book of Boba Fett Season 1?
We don’t know much about the story in The Book of Boba Fett. We think that most details will be kept secret, just like with other Star Wars projects.
However, a summary has been released that reads:
In a thrilling Star Wars adventure, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand must return to Tatooine. They want to take over the land that Jabba and his crime syndicate had before.
Boba Fett and Fennec Shand went to the desert planet (that was last seen in Return of the Jedi) and found Bib Fortuna. He had become Jabba’s servant and inherited his lifestyle.
Fennek and Boba kill Fortuna without hesitation, and then they go to the house. They do not waste any time. It is safe to say that they will make some changes in the house.
The trailer showed Boba and Fennec meeting with the crime lords of Tatooine and talking about an alliance. They talked about how they will get along and respect each other.
Temuera Morrison has hinted that the series could tell how Boba escaped. He fell into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi, and all thought he was dead because of this.
“We will see his past and where he has been since the Empire Strikes Back,” Morrison told Rotten Tomatoes. “Somebody pointed out to me that he has been stuck in one place for a while, and now is the time to go back in time and check out his journeys.”

Who will be starring in it?
Temuera Morrison is set to reprise the role of Boba Fett after making a big splash with his initial return in The Mandalorian season two.
An actor was in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. He played Jango Fett and Commander Cody.
Ming-Na Wen will be in the new spin-off. She plays an ally to Jango Fett. They became friends after she was saved by him on Tatooine.
Wen thought that she was filming The Mandalorian for two weeks, but then she found out that it was Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
“When I was told that I was going to be a series regular, I just thought it would be for The Mandalorian season 3. When the scripts came out, it said 301, 302, 303, 304. So I just assumed that I had signed on – because there is no The Mandalorian in my contact.”
“So for two weeks, while I was working with Tem and Robert [Rodriguez], I did not know that I was shooting the spin-off. When we were done, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni told me that it had been me.”
Rodriguez will be directing some of the episodes of the spin-off show. Some of them will be directed by Favreau, Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard too. But they are not saying what happens in The Book of Boba Fett. They just say it is important.
