On Friday, Baltimore police announced that they had made arrest in non-fatal shooting in West Baltimore and fatal shooting in Northeast Baltimore.
Jermaine Naylor was arrested in connection with a March 29 shooting in the unit block of North Stricker Street in the Franklin Square neighborhood. Naylor, of the unit block of South Morley Avenue, shot a 36-year-old man who has not been identified.
Naylor has been charged with first-degree attempted murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. It is unclear if Naylor has an attorney, as one was not listed in his online court records.
Christopher Beckett was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting of Dante Hicks in the 1200 block of Harwood Avenue in the Woodbourne Heights neighborhood. Hicks, 23, was fatally shot in the same block on June 25.
Beckett was charged with first-degree murder and also faces charges of first- and second-degree assault, second-degree murder, multiple gun violations and reckless endangerment, according to court records. He is being held in jail without bail.
