Student Posted Online Threat Against Eleanor Roosevelt High School

Prince George’s County Police say they have identified a suspect who posted an online threat against Eleanor Roosevelt High School.

Police were alerted to the threat Sunday and through an extensive overnight investigation, they were able to identify the sender as a high school student. The threat was later deemed “non-credible.”

Arrest“Although this threat wasn’t credible, this department takes all such threats seriously and works aggressively to identify the sender. We urge all citizens, both young and old, to please think before sending such posts. While the sender may not have a criminal intent behind the post, this department, the school system and this community take them seriously,” Deputy Chief Raphael Grant, Bureau of Administration & Homeland Security said in a statement.

The post included an image of a BB gun.
