Space Jam is an American live-action/animated sports comedy film starring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny. It was directed by Joe Pytka, with Tony Cervone directing the animation segments of the film in 1995. Space Jam grossed $230 million worldwide against its production budget of $90 million, becoming the highest-grossing basketball movie of all time. Space Jam is also the third-highest grossing non-Disney animated movie of all time, behind Ice Age: Continental Drift and Shrek.

The plot

The plot of Space Jam revolves around the Looney Tunes characters who have been enslaved by an evil alien called Boogaloo (narrated by Michael B Jordan). After being captured during their match against the Nerdlucks at Moron Mountain and subsequently imprisoned in an abandoned amusement park attraction named Morontowne, they are contacted by Charles Barkley – voiced here by Kevin Hart – who promises to free them if they can help him find his lost basketball.

Release Date

There are currently no confirmed plans for a sequel to Space Jam from Warner Bros. However, former NBA player Baron Davis has indicated an interest in directing a third Space Jam film, even pitching his idea to The New York Times in an interview.
