The plot of Searching 2:
The search for Margot continues, and David discovers clues about her whereabouts while also dealing with his grief. Searching is a deeply personal film that explores how we process loss, particularly in the digital age.
David Kim (John Cho) enters code into the website to find out what happened to his daughter Margot after she disappeared from their home one night.
He was supposed to have been at work but had stayed back late that day working on an app idea he’d been trying to pitch for months.
This leads him down a dark rabbit hole of conspiracy theories and false information until finally, he finds himself watching video footage from inside his own house, where he sees Margot’s lifeless body on the ground.
It started out as an experimental project about how we live our lives online before turning into something much more than just a film- it turned into what is now one of the most successful projects in Search Engine Marketing history.
