Robbery Suspect Escapes Police Custody While Being Treated At St. Agnes Hospital, Rearrested In Baltimore


Baltimore County police said a 21-year-old robbery suspect was being treated at St Agnes Hospital on Thursday, when he escaped from police custody. The man evaded police until Friday, at which time he was rearrested.

Around 11:30 p.m., Joshua Jerome Brown, of the 5600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard, was receiving treatment at the Southwest Baltimore hospital when he made his escape.

He last seen on Wilkens Avenue until he was arrested in Baltimore on Friday, police said.

An additional charge has been brought against Brown after a vehicle he was driving struck a police cruiser on July 26. The incident occurred during a routine traffic stop. The plate on the gold Cadillac Deville was not registered to that vehicle, police said. The officer was getting out of his cruiser when it was struck.
