Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center Will Close, Lay Off 128 Employees


Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) on August 22. The notice indicates that the center will close and lay off 128 employees on October 21.

Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center at 26181 Parksley Road in Parksley, Virginia currently houses 89 residents. The center provides nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychology and hospice services to its residents.

Riverside acknowledges that its facility is old and has “outlived its useful life expectancy.” The company said it was currently working to find placement for its long-term care residents and employment for its workers.
