Maryland State Police say a bus driver for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools was arrested for driving under the influence Tuesday.
At 2 p.m., troopers received a report of a school bus operator driving erratically near Kent Narrows in Queen Anne’s County. A trooper observed the school bus traveling northbound on Route 301 from Route 50.
Troopers conducted an investigative traffic stop on northbound Route 301, south of Warrington Farm Lane. The driver was arrested after he failed the standardized field sobriety test.
The driver was identified as 54-year-old Dale Clark of Chester, Maryland. Troopers arrested and charged Clark with DUI and multiple traffic offenses.
According to the report, Clark was the sole occupant in the school bus at the time of the incident. A replacement driver was dispatched to the scene to pick up the bus.
