Prince George’s County Reaching Out To Homeless Residents And County Veterans


County Executive Rushern L. Baker III has recently joined forces with Prince George’s County Department of Social Services (PGCDSS) to reach out to homeless residents and County veterans. The 6th Annual Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day is scheduled for this Saturday, November 5, 2016. County Executive Baker, Director of PGCDSS Gloria L. Brown Burnett, and Joe Clair radio host at WPGC will be among the hundreds expected to attend the event.


Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day

The event will be held at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex (see below for address), with on-site assistance, including dental services and mental health assessments. Participants will also receive legal support and assistance with application for DSS and Veteran’s benefits.
