Prince George’s County Police Identify Victim In Oxon Hill Collision


The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Oxon Hill. The victim is 24-year-old Samira Jenkins of Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill. We are asking anyone who witnessed this collision to please call investigators.

Accident Scene

On March 22, 2018, at approximately 5:45 am, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Indian Head Highway at Kerby Hill Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, Jenkins, died of her injuries on the scene. The driver of the involved car remained on the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals Jenkins was struck while crossing Indian Head Highway. Preliminarily, it appears she was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision. Investigators are working to determine if she had the right of way, according to the report.
