Prince George’s County Police Identify Victim In Chillum Shooting


Prince George’s County, Maryland – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday. The victim is 26-year-old Cyril Briscoe of Chillum Road in Chillum.

On May 27th, at approximately 5:15 am, patrol officers responded to the 3300 block of Chillum Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers located the victim inside of a car suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Violent Weekend In Baltimore

The preliminary investigation reveals Briscoe and other occupants were traveling in the 1500 block of Chillum Road when an unknown vehicle pulled up beside them. An unknown suspect in that vehicle began shooting into the victim’s car, striking and killing Briscoe. No one else inside of the victim’s car was hurt. The shooting began in the 1500 block of Chillum Road. The victim’s car stopped in the 3300 block following the shooting.
