Prince George’s County Police Identify Three Suspects Connected To Riverdale Homicide


Prince George’s County arrest and charge three men in connection with a September 16 fatal shooting.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police received a report of a shooting in the 6000 block of 67th Place. Upon arrival to the scene, the responding officers located a 19-year-old man sitting in a vehicle suffering with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the news release.

Maryland MurderThe suspects were identified as:

  • 29-year-old Carlos Cardenas-Benegas of the 7200 block of Riverdale Road
  • 24-year-old Wilfredo Cardenas-Benegas of the 7200 block of Riverdale Road and
  • 18-year-old Kevin Soriana-Hernand of the 7000 block of Annapolis Road in Landover Hills

All three suspects were charged with first- and second-degree murder and transported to the Department of Corrections, where they are being held on a no-bond status.
