Prince George’s County Police Identify Suspect Involved In Murder-Suicide


Around 10 a.m. Friday, Hyattsville City Police responded to a call at the 5500 block of 45th Avenue, where a 29-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, Delonta Surratt, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Baltimore's 2017 Homicide Rate Hits 100About 30 minutes later, the Riverdale Park Police were called to the 5700 block of 48th Avenue in Riverdale Park. When they arrived at the scene, they found 20-year-old Jabari Hall with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jabari Hall and Delonta Surratt, both of Hyattsville, had got into a verbal argument, which escalated into a murder-suicide incident. Police said Hall’s mother was involved in a relationship with Surratt.

Information about the nature of the argument was not available.
