Philadelphia Police Officer Pleaded Guilty To Illegal Drug Trafficking


A Philadelphia police officer has pleaded guilty Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to one count of distribution of controlled substances, including crack and heroin.

Fifty-year-old Stanley Davis was a task force officer with the FBI, working on narcotics investigations. He was assigned to the Kensington section of Philadelphia in the fall of 2016. Davis observed to females who were in that area trying to buy drugs. He exchanged phone numbers with the women with the intent to gain information on drug trafficking in the Kensington neighborhood, according to court records.


Davis exchanged text messages with the women, which eventually turning sexual in nature. A sexual relationship developed between Davis and both of the women. He provided both women crack and heroin during the course of both relationships, according to court documents.

Davis’ sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 8, 2017.
