Penske Announces Closing Of Fort Wayne Indiana Facility & Layoffs


Fort Wayne, Indiana – On May 18, 2019, Penske Logistics filed a WARN with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. The notice informs the department that the company will be closing it’s Fort Wayne, Indiana facility in the near future.

Business ClosingThe facility mentioned in the WARN is located at W. Pleasant Center Road in Fort Wayne. It is expected that the company will begin letting workers go on July 20, 2019. The closure and layoffs are expected to permanent.

Employees have been notified. The employees affected will not have bumping rights due to a lack of Union representation. In total, the company predicts that 80 employees will be impacted by this move.
