Howard County Police say a collision involving a school bus left several people with minor injuries.
Approximately 7 a.m. Monday, a driver of a school bus traveling westbound on Route 100 lost control, as it exited onto Route 29 north. The bus flipped onto its side and a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 29 hit the bus, according to the report.
The occupants, two juveniles and two adults, of the bus were taken to a local hospital “as a precaution” with minor injuries. The juveniles were 15-year-old students at Mt. Hebron High School.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Route 29 North is closed for an investigation.
Update: Howard County police issued the bus driver a citation for negligent driving. Investigators believe 50-year-old Tyra India Wilcox of Halethorpe was speeding when she lost control of the bus.
