It is intended to be the twenty-second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The film is directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell, and stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, alongside Teyonah Parris, Aramis Knight, Saïd Taghmaoui, Olivia Cooke, Raz Adoti, and Zohra Lampert. Ms. Marvel is scheduled to be released on July 29, 2022.
