Motorcyclist Involved In West Friendship Collision Airlifted To Maryland Shock Trauma Center


Howard County police said a motorcycle traveling on Route 32 collided with a vehicle at Old Frederick Road Saturday.

Around 7:20 p.m. 58-year-old Kenneth Reid Stalcup was driving a 2003 Yamaha XV1600 in the southbound lane collided into a Honda CR-V, police said.

Violent Weekend In BaltimoreForty-eight-year-old Sandy Pohyang Kim, driver of the Honda, was crossing Route 32 on Old Frederick Road when her vehicle was struck by the Yamaha, according to a preliminary investigation. Investigators said they believe the Honda had a green light.

An 8-year-passenger in the Honda at the time of the incident was not injured, nor was Kim, police said.

Stalcup was airlifted to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

The scene was cleared by about 9:30 p.m.
