Mold and Droppings Found at Two Rockville Food Establishments: Violations Issued

Two Rockville food establishments have been issued violations by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services after mold and rodent droppings were found on the premises during routine inspections. The violations were issued to the establishments for failing to maintain a clean and sanitary environment by health regulations.

The first establishment, a popular fast-food chain on Rockville Pike, was found to have mold on the walls and ceilings of the kitchen area, as well as on the ice machine and soda fountain. Rodent droppings were also found in the storage area and on the floor near the back door.

The second establishment, a local bakery on Veirs Mill Road, was found to have mold on the walls and ceiling of the prep area and on the bread racks and storage shelves. Rodent droppings were also found in the storage area and on the floor near the back door.

Both establishments were issued violations and given a deadline to correct the issues and comply with health regulations. The establishments were also required to undergo a follow-up inspection to ensure that the issues had been addressed.
