“Minions: The Rise of Gru” was originally going to be released in theaters in July 2020 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed to 1st July 2022. But when it appeared that the pandemic had not gone away, people were not confident in coming to the movies. The prequel was pushed back another year. People can do other fun things next year like a cookout, shooting fireworks, and learning more about little Gru and his Minions.

The Minions are back in the newest movie. It is a prequel to the Despicable Me movies and also a sequel. The new movie has everything you liked about the last one.
Scarlet Overkill tried to steal the crown of the Queen of England again. But Scarlet survived and it was a long time ago. To help her, the Minions found another boss. Instead of rejoining Scarlet, the Minions became infatuated with Gru when he froze Scarlett with a freeze gun and ran away on a rocket-powered motorbike. “Minions: The Rise of Gru” is about the Minions working together to try to make Gru a super-villain. They might get their chance when there’s an opening in the Vicious 6.
The “Despicable Me” and “Minions” movies have been huge hits. But they’ve been hit or miss when it comes to quality. For example, some people love the first one and did not like the second one at all. The “Despicable Me” movies are funny because they use a lot of slapstick comedy. These movies are also nice because they have hearts. But not all the humor works. Sometimes they can be too childish. Movies are for kids, but they don’t have to be dumbed down. Who will be starring in it?
In the movie, “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” there is a French animator and director that will come back to lend his voice to the main Minions. He will also voice all of the other little guys in the crew. Dr. Nefario will also come back, but he is younger than you know him now. He will be Gru’s assistant before the movie ends. We’ll talk about Steve Carell as Gru.
There are six people in the group called the Vicious 6. One of these people is Alan Arkin, who has recorded his voice to be Wild Knuckles. Then we have Taraji P. Henson as Belle Bottom, the new leader of the team, along with Jean-Claude Van Damme as a giant lobster-clawed villain named Jean Clawed (get it?). There’s also a villainous nun named Nunchuck, played by Lucy Lawless. Dolph Lundgren plays Svengeance and Danny Trejo is Stronghold.
Other voices include Michelle Yeoh as Master Chow, Julie Andrews as Gru’s mother, and RZA in an undisclosed role.
“Minions: The Rise of Gru” is directed by Kyle Balda, who also directed “Minions” and “The Lorax”. The director was helped with the story by Brian Lynch, who also wrote Minions and another Illumination Entertainment movie called “The Secret Life of Pets.”
