MD Electronics Will Lay Off 87 Employees In New York


MD Electronics Corporation filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification on September 25 with the New York State Department of Labor. The notified, filed in the Western Region, indicates that the company will close its Jamestown plant and lay off 87 employees.

Business Closing

MD Electronics supplies high-quality products to automobile manufactures and Tier-1s. The plant at 33 Precision Way in Jamestown is scheduled to close on December 23.

The employees impacted are not represented by a union. Separations are expected to occur on December 23 and all separations are expected to occur within 13 days thereafter, according to the WARN filing.
