Maryland State Police say a Baltimore County man was stabbed Wednesday on the Intercounty Connector.
Approximately 3:30 p.m., the victim was a passenger in a Chevy Silverado truck traveling eastbound MD Route 200 onto the ramp towards northbound I-95. The victim was engaged in an altercation with a man driving an extended cab Ford truck, which attempted to pass the Silverado on the shoulder to get on the ramp.
When the suspect’s attempt to pass the Silverado was unsuccessful, he got out of his vehicle and ordered the victim to get out of the truck. When the victim refused, he opened the door of the truck and stabbed the victim in the leg, according to the report.
The driver of the Silverado called 911, as the suspect fled the scene headed on the northbound Interstate 95 ramp.
Medics dispatched to the scene transported the victim to Laurel Regional Hospital for treatment. Witnesses described the suspect as an African-American man about 6-feet tall and 225 pounds.
Investigators urge anyone with information to call 301-345-3101.
