Maryland State Police has arrested a Cecil County man who they say killed his girlfriend.
Approximately 9 a.m. Friday, troopers initiated a missing person investigation after a man reported his ex-wife not home when he attempted to drop off her kids earlier in the day.
Shortly after 5:15 p.m., investigators located the woman’s vehicle in the 1800 block of Snow Meadow Lane in Baltimore. The woman’s body was later located in her home on the 500 block of Elk Mills Road in Elkton, according to the report.
The woman’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. The woman’s boyfriend, 39-year-old Jason Daniel Waddell of Elkton, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault of 38-year-old Lyra Marie Magliacane of Elkton.
Waddell is being held at the Cecil County Detention Center pending an appearance before the Cecil County Commissioner.
