Maryland men’s lacrosse team has proven to be a powerhouse this season. The team has played 5 games this season winning 4. They’ve managed to win all three games at home. The season started on February the 1st with a 23 to 12 win over High Point in College Park. The Terrapins won again against Richmond at Robins Stadium on February the 8th.
On February 18, the team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Villanova with the final score being 12 to 13. Today, The Terrapins took on number 5 Notre Dame and it proved to be an intense contest from start to finish. Halfway through the 3rd period, Logan Wisnauskas fired a laser and beat the goalie. He ended the day with five goals and helped the Terrapins win the game with a final score of 14 to 9.
Maryland proved dominant possessing the ball and outshooting Notre Dame but they struggled to take advantage of the opportunities available to them. In total, they accumulated 64 shots throughout the game which is the 2nd most all season.
The Terrapins managed to rebound from the first loss of the season. They’ll look to carry that momentum into its game against Albany on March the 7th.
