Man Walking Along Camden Line Tracks Struck, Killed By MARC Train In Elkridge


A pedestrian was walking along the railroad tracks near the 5500 block of Levering Avenue, when he was struck and killed by a MARC train.

Police were notified at 6:25 a.m. on Friday morning of the incident. Identification or a wallet was not found at the scene, so police were unable to verify the victim’s identity, but he is being described as an Asian man.

No other injuries were reported and the man was alone when the incident occurred, Howard County Police said.The incident shut down the MARC Camden Line south of Baltimore until Friday afternoon. Train service, delayed during the investigation has returned to the normal schedule.

Police are asking for assistance in identifying the victim involved in the incident and may call police at 410-313-3200.
