Man Trespassing In Rosedale Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train


On Tuesday morning, an unidentified man was trespassing on tracks in Rosedale, when he was struck and killed by the Northeast Regional Train 183.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the tracks near Patapsco and Philadelphia Avenues, Amtrak spokeswoman Chelsea Kopta said. Police arrived on scene about 15 minutes later.Two tracks were temporarily closed and the train was halted during the investigation, Kopta said.

No other injuries were reported and the 243 passengers were transferred to another train to eliminate further delay of their commute.

The incident is under investigation. No further information was available.
