Man Injured In Shooting In Lock Raven, Shooting Victim Identified


A man found shot in Northeast Baltimore has prompted an investigation by the Baltimore Police Department.

Around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, a man arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his shoulder and wrist, police said. The victim told police he was in the 1700 block of Sherwood Avenue in Loch Raven, when an unidentified suspect started firing shots at him.

Baltimore Mayor's Office On Criminal JusticeDetectives believe the motive was robbery, police said.

On Wednesday, police identified a man who was fatally shot in the 5400 block of Price Avenue on July 25. Forty-six-year-old Kevin Joyner’s death pushes Baltimore’s homicide rate to 199 for this year.
