Lutech Resources Will Lay Off 195 Employees In New York, 36 In Maryland


Lutech Resources, a global recruitment business, filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) in the Central Region and Finger Lakes Region on August 16. The notice indicates the company would layoff a total of 195 employees at three sites.

The layoff is contributed to a cancelled contract by Aptim Services LLC, which also will lay off 167 workers, beginning September 6.

Ninety-one employees housed in the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station at 348 Lake Road in Oswego, New York, 11 in the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant at 1503 Lake Road in Ontario, New York and 93 in the Fitzpatrick Nuclear Station at 268 Lake Road in Oswego, New York will be laid off on or before August 31.

Lutech Resources also submitted a WARN notice to the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation earlier this week. The notice indicated that 36 employees housed in the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Station at 1560 Calvert Cliffs Parkway in Lusby, Maryland would be laid off beginning August 18.
