Lord & Taylor To Lay Off 202 Employees In Pennsylvania


Lord & Taylor announces a mass layoff that will potentially affect 202 employees at its Wilkes Barre distribution center. The employees were notified on January 11 that they would be laid off on April 27.

According to filing the jobs are moving to a new center in Pottsville. Employee separations will begin on March 13 and continue through April 27. All affected employees who are not placed in other locations will receive “an appropriate” severance package, according to the layoff filing.

Lord & Taylor, LLC operates stores that offer clothing, fragrances, handbags, wallets, travel items, cosmetics, shoes and accessories for women and men. It also offers shoes and clothing for kids.
