An 18-year-old student has been charged in the assault of his teacher. Police were dispatched to Loch Raven High School in Towson at approximately 8:38 AM. Teachers and the school’s resource officer struggled to restrain Geronimo Pacer Harding Jr. of the 8600 block of Willow Oak Road after he punched a teacher in the face. It is believed that Harding was speaking with the victim who was seated as his desk.
Harding became agitated and suddenly began punching the victim in the face. The victim was knocked to the ground before being struck in the face and torso. Initially, the teacher refused medical treatment. The teacher was later treated at an area hospital for serious facial wounds. Harding was arrested and taken to an area hospital. He was later charged with assault.
Harding now faces First and Second Degree Assault charges and other school related charges. He was last being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center waiting for a bail review hearing. At this point in time, Harding is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
