Genessee Valley Group Health, which is doing business as Lifetime Health Medical Group, filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on October 2. The notice indicates the company will close three of its locations on December 31.
Lifetime Health Medical Group is a versatile primary care health practice. The company said in a written statement that it has struggled with filling primary care physician openings, which in turn has hurt them financially.
The company will close its centers at 1185 Sweet Home Road in Amherst, New York, 151 Elmview Avenue in Hamburg, New York and 899 Main Street in Buffalo, New York.
The employees impacted by the layoff are represented by the SEIU Local 200 union. Separations are expected to occur on December 31.
