Lanco Closing Its Ronkonkoma Plant, Laying Off 130 Employees

Lanco Corporation filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on November 3. The notice indicates the New York-based company will close its Ronkonkoma plant and lay off 130 employees.

Lanco Corporation founded in 1985 is a private company that provides a wide array of promotional products. It officers, bags, clocks, coolers, sunglass accessories, golf and health and beauty products, as well as tools, technological devices, games, novelty items and games. It markets and sells its products through distributors.

The 135 impacted employees have no bumping rights, as they are not represented by a union. Separations are expected to take place on December 1, the same day the facility at 2905 Veterans Memorial Highway will close, according to the filing.
