LaborTemps, Inc. filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on September 29. The notice indicates the employment agency will close its Jamaica, New York office and lay off 48 workers.
LaborTemps offers a variety of services, including management, training, recruiting, invoicing and tracking to medium- and large-sized companies.
According to the WARN notice filed in the New York City Region, LaborTemps will close its facility at 90-48 160th Street in Jamaica on December 31. The reason for the closure cited in the filing is “economic.” The workers impacted by the layoff are not represented by a union.
