Jockey Lorna Brooke was killed after falling

Morningside Maryland News : The news regarding how the life of an amateur rider was cut short has certainly created a wave of shock amongst one and all.

The Injured Jockeys Fund has confirmed the death of Lorna Brooke, 37 who was declared dead by the hospital authorities while undergoing treatment due to a fall at Taunton in the beginning of the month. 

The life of a passionate rider was cut short 

8th April proved to be a dooms day for Brooke when she fell at the third fence in Pontispool Equine Sports Centre. The concerned medical staff began to recuperate her right on the track which delayed the racing for over an hour. However, she was finally airlifted in pursuit of the best medical care. but she couldn’t be saved. 

The statement by IJF spoke about the condition where it was told that her condition was critical but stable, as she was going through intense care at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Due to her surrounding with series of complications, she was in a coma.

However, soon a statement on Monday confirmed her death. It talked about how everyone was deeply saddened as the passing of Lorna Brooke came. Even in such an hour of distress, her family couldn’t forget to thank the hospital staff for being very kind in the last few weeks. 

The last rites will be undertaken in the form of a private funeral and once the restrictions of Covid are relaxed, there will be celebrations commemorating Lorna’s life. 

AP McCoy who was a multiple champion jockey was in the forefront of paying tribute where he tweeted about being heartbroken at such sad news.

British Horseracing Authority has issued a statement about how the entity’s members are very sad and depressed as the news broke. Lorna was dearly loved and appreciated as her sudden demise shocks everyone to the core. 

Lorna was liked and appreciated both for her jolly nature and professionalism 

Lorna was known for a healthy competition as her professionalism has made British racing quite coveted and special. She was known as a jolly person who believed in spreading love and she also has a soft corner for the horses. There seems to be no stopping for the messages which continue to distinguish the kind of awesome personality which the lady has been. Since, everyone is shocked and sad and pays tribute to her family in such an hour of distress and grief.

Few of the noteworthy contributions which have defined her life have been the victorious position which she has attained in the inaugural Ladies Handicap Chase in 2015. 

According to John Groucott who is a Shropshire based trainer, she was very fond of horses and she has always continued to follow her passion which was of course riding the horses. However, the way her life was cut short speaks about a tragic end as she was very friendly and lovely as a lady who has a charismatic grace to inspire one and all.
